{"id":10681,"date":"2017-02-01T12:38:03","date_gmt":"2017-02-01T11:38:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/?p=10681"},"modified":"2017-02-01T12:38:03","modified_gmt":"2017-02-01T11:38:03","slug":"med-view-airline-list-n16-5bn-shares-on-nse-reveals-n58-5b-projected-revenue-by-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/sub\/med-view-airline-list-n16-5bn-shares-on-nse-reveals-n58-5b-projected-revenue-by-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Med-View Airline list N16.5bn Shares on NSE, reveals N58.5b projected revenue by 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The management of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday listed MED-VIEW<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Airline\u2019s 9,750,649,400 ordinary shares of 50kobo each at N1.50kobo per share on the floor of the Stock market, valued at N16.5 billion.<\/p>\n<p>This is just as the airline also stated that it is projecting growth despite challenges in 2020 with a revenue growth forecast of N58.5billion, improving on its growth from N3.6billion turnover when it commenced to N26b in the last five years ending at 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Med-view Airline Chief Executive, Alhaji Muneer Bankole made this known at the floor of the stock exchange after the sounding of the closing gong making Med-View to be admitted into the\u00a0stock market after airlines like Albarka and ADC were admitted and later de-listed for sundry reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Executive of the Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE), Oscar Onyema who welcomed the airline to the NSE congratulated the airline\u2019s Board and Management on its successful listing on the Main Board of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.<\/p>\n<p>According to Onyema, Medview\u2019s listing reaffirms\u00a0 the belief that in spite of several policies and economic challenges facing the nation, the NSE remains one of the best avenues for raising capital and enabling sustainable growth for national development.<\/p>\n<p>He also decried the challenges that have in the past decade led the Nigerian aviation industry to experience a downward spiral leading to the exit or decline of many operators stating that this has also impacted significantly on passenger traffic for inbound and outbound destinations but commended Medview for the courage to take the step.<\/p>\n<p>Onyema said,\u201dToday\u2019s listing by Introduction of 9.75Billion (9,750,649,400) ordinary shares of Med-View Airline on the Main Board of The Nigerian Stock Exchange at a Listing Price of N1.50 Per Share is a culmination of several months of hard work by all parties to the transaction including the Securities and Exchange Commission and The Exchange. \u201c<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis listing has added N14.65b (N14, 625,974,100) to the market capitalization of The Exchange, further deepening the Nigerian Capital Market.
