A 14-year old boy, Israel Solomon, who\u00a0 fled his parent\u2019s home in Jos, Plateau State, North Central Nigeria, was yesterday evening, 9th January \u00a0intercepted and rescued by operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos Police Command at Ojota, Lagos.<\/p>\n

Solomon, a Birom by tribe, was seen wandering Ojota Bus Stop, when the operatives decided to call him for questioning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

According to the lad, his parents live in Mango Junction, Opposite Gada Biu, in the Jos metropolis.<\/p>\n

He could not give reasons why he ran away from home and all entreaties to make him give reasons for his action proved abortive.<\/p>\n

Solomon said the bus conveying him from Jos got to Lagos late on Sunday\u00a0<\/span><\/span>evening, adding that he passed the night under the foot bridge at the Ojodu Berger Bus Stop.<\/p>

He explained that he had trekked from Ojodu Berger to Ojota when the officer cited him wandering, emphasizing that he knew no relatives in Lagos before embarking on the journey.<\/p>\n

A source said checks on his body did not betray any evidence of physical abuse. He also couldn\u2019t give the phone contact of his parents or any of his relatives based in Jos, the Plateau State capital.<\/p>\n

Solomon has been taken to Olusosun Police Station, behind Phillip, Ojota by the RRS Team.<\/p>\n

The source disclosed that he would be taken from there to a station where radio signal would be raised to the closest police station to his house in Jos.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
