The Campaign for Democracy (CD) has said it has constituted a committee to monitor the implementation of the 2017 budget by Ministries, Departments and Agencies at both federal and states\u00a0levels across Nigeria.<\/p>\n

To this end, CD also said it has directed all its state offices in parts of the country to set up similar committees to carry out\u00a0the same assignment.<\/p>\n

Rising from its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held in Minna Niger state capital at the weekend,\u00a0 the Human Rights Organization said such budget tracking would ensure the implementation of the budgets were devoid of corrupt practices and associated problems in the 2017 fiscal year\u00a0 .<\/p>\n

CD in a communique made available to newsmen, said the budgets have ” a lifeline of 95percent implementation, we will ensure this is practicalized”.<\/p>\n

The communique jointly signed by Comrade Abdullahi Mohammed Jabi, National Secretary General and Comrade Abdulwaheed \u00a0Adeniran, Vice President, respectively commended the bilateral agreement between the Lagos and Kebbi states\u00a0 governments in the area of agriculture, stressing that\u00a0 the relationship has led to increase in rice production by both states.<\/p>

It thereby advised\u00a0other state\u00a0governors in the country should enter into similar\u00a0agreement to improve the economy of their respective states and the country in general.<\/p>\n

\u201cEmbarking on such agreement will lead to wealth creation, job opportunities and reduce crime rate and criminality in the society”.<\/p>\n

On the epileptic power supply in the country the communique asked the Power Holding Company of Nigeria “to justify the confidence reposed in it by Nigerians by making power available to all parts of the country without interruption”.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe also condemn the illegal estimated billing system which is being used to exploit the ordinary Nigerian, “said the Communique.<\/p>\n
