UBEC Moves Contractors Back To Site After National Wire’s Story On Substandard Projects

In reaction to National Wire investigative story on – UBEC contract Scam: Why Out-Of-School Pupil Increase in Nigeria,  the Kano State Universal Education Board, KSUEB, has ordered the contractors handling the reported poorly executed projects back to site.
Bashir Dahiru, KSUBEB, Director of Physical planning told National wire that the contractors handling the projects mentioned in the story have moved back to site.  He said: “you were very correct in your observations and this has compelled the contractors to immediately go back to site to perfect the work.”
Dahiru hints that some of the projects have been abandoned since 2014 but National Wire story have been instrumental to the review of the project and the return of the contractors to site.
