Pandemonium As Armed Robbers Invade Kogi Banks, Eateries

Barely 18 months after many policemen and civilians were murdered during a raid on a police station and banks in Isanlu, Kogi State, this afternoon a gang of robbers again attacked Odo-Ere and Egbe in Yagba West Local Government Area of the state.

This time, an unconfirmed number of persons have been affected and businesses closed abruptly in the two neighbouring towns.

According to eye witnesses close to Titcombe College, Egbe, “Bofad Eateries was attacked and scattered with bullets, people are still in shock and running, tracing relatives with telephones.”

Another source in the town said, “An old generation bank and a new generation one suffered in the attacks which seem to be well coordinated with guns and explosive devices.”

Details of the attacks are still scanty as the robbers escaped leaving blood in their trail.
