Pandemonium As Aircraft Crashes In Lagos

Tragedy struck around noon in Lagos when a chopper crashed in Ikeja area of the state.

Spokesman for the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), Tunji Oketunbi, confirmed the incident on Tuesday.

Another official of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed that the chopper went into flames when it went down.

Two persons were on board the aircraft and residents of the area are still in shock.

Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye is the NEMA Zonal Coordinator for South-West said
the Agency’s official WhatsApp platform, said though the identity of the operator of the helicopter was yet unknown, both men were rescued alive

A similar incident happened when a helicopter operated by Quorom Aviation crashed in the Opebi area of Lagos in August 2020.
