Nine Bodies Recovered From Ebute-Metta Building Collapse

Following the unfortunate three storey building that went down on Sunday night in Lagos, nine dead bodies have been recovered by the joint rescue team.

The building located at 24, Ibadan Street (East), off Muritala Mohammed Way, Ebute-Metta around Oyingbo axis led to the death of six males, three females. It was learnt that among the dead were a 4-year-old boy whose remains have been bagged and handed over to the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU).

It was gathered that 22 males and one female have been rescued in the ongoing operation.

However, the cause of the collapse is not known.
