Kano assembly suspends probe of Sanusi

The Kano state house of assembly has suspended the probe of Muhammad Sanusi II, the emir of Kano.

Kabiru Rurum, speaker of the assembly, who announced this at plenary on Monday, said the action followed the intervention of some prominent Nigerians.

He disclosed that Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of the state, sent a letter to the lawmakers to appeal that the exercise be put on hold.
