A source told National Wire that although the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan has not confirmed the lawmaker’s death, it has revealed to some of its worker Sugar has actually died.
“They’re yet to put him in the mortuary, preferring to tell people that he is still in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) but some of us have confirmed that he has actually died,” said the source who was away on elections duty at the time of report.
Sugar, who was also the Oyo Central Senatorial District candidate of the Action Democratic Party in the National Assembly election, was attacked on his way from his village where he had gone to vote.
He was reportedly hit in the eye and was rushed to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, where he died.

Reports say the area most affected by the violence is the Lalupon Iyana church axis of the State capital.
