Globacom has congratulated the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, upon his induction as a fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering as well as his conferment with an honorary degree by the University of Jos.
Professor Danbatta was formally inducted as a fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering on June 21, 2018. Two days later, he was conferred with an honorary degree at the 29th and 30th combined convocation ceremony of the University of Jos in Plateau State.
Globacom, in a congratulatory message from its headquarters in Lagos said the induction of Prof. Danbatta marks another major milestone in his colourful career trajectory.
The telecommunications giant said, “Your sterling achievements in the field of engineering both as a university don and as the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications are a testament to your diligence and commitment to excellence.
“We sincerely felicitate with you on these momentous occasions and wish you many more years of active and rewarding service to your fatherland,” Globacom said.
