In a bid to enlarge their tentacles and be able to combat fire incidences in the country, the Federal Fire Service has laid a foundation stone for the construction of a new first class fire station at Remo Community in Ogun state.
The ceremony which was carried out on Wednesday by the Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Alhaji Ibrahim Liman was represented by the Zonal Commander, Federal Fire Service , Zone F, ACG KK Ajasa.

In his remarks, he noted that the establishments of Federal Fire Service in Remo town would bring greater developmental project to the community.
In addition, he observed, “It will create job opportunities, enhance investments, and generate revenue for Remo Community and Ogun State in general.
To this end, he further stated that “To whom much is given, much Is also expected hence he assured of their maximum input from as soon as operations take off.
“Besides, we will try as much as possible to make good use of the facilities,” he reiterated.
Earlier, the Controller General paid a courtesy visit to the Palace of the Paramount Ruler, Remo land, His Royal Majesty , Alayeluwa, Oba Babatunde Adewole Ajayi.
Addressing the CGF, the Oba assured of a mutual relationship between the Servicemen and Remo Community.
While thanking the CGF for their good plans for the community, the Oba thanked them and stressed on the importance of the project to Remo Community.
He added that with the construction of the fire station, it would further help at arresting cases of fire incidences in the community as they have always remained helpless any time calamity caused by fire outbreak happened.
While reacting to the ground breaking event, the Public Relations Officer, Federal Fire Service , Zone F, Supo Nwabueze Jolbhn said that more fire stations would be built across the zone with the benefit of time and called on the citizens to protect the facilities.
