Global Shapers, an initiative of the World Economic Forum has appointed Andrew Banigo, a noteworthy youth from Rivers State, as its Community Manager for the Nigerian region.

The Lagos State Command of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has a new leader. He is Comptroller of Immigration Bala Aliyu Dangana. He assumed office on July 5, 2023.

A Civil Society group, Congress for Rights Of Yoruba Nationalities (CROYN), has warned the Obi-Datti Campaign Organisation  against "peddling unverified and un-substantiated allegation aimed at heating up the polity, causing disaffection and threatening the peace in the country which has received a boost since the emergence of the new government last May."
