Ekiti Bye-Election: Woman Police Dies Of Gun Shot

Ekiti State Police Command says on Monday that the police woman, Sergeant Olawoye Bukola, who was shot by a group of thugs that invaded Ward 7, Unit 7 during the last Saturday’s Ekiti East House of Assembly Bye Election has died from gunshot wound.

Confirming the death in a statement on Monday, the Ekiti State Police Command spokesperson, ASP Abutu Sunday said the officer died about 1800hrs on 22nd March, 2021 at Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Ido-Ekiti, after battling for life for days.

As a result, the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, CP Tunde on behalf of the Command, sympathizes with her family members and pray God grants her soul eternal rest.

Meanwhile, the Command had said that all the suspects who committed the heinous crime have all been arrested and charged to Court on Monday.
