APC Dissolves National Working Committee

…Mai-Mala Buni, governor of Yobe state, named caretaker chairman

The All Progressives Congress has dissolved its National Working Committee.

The decision was reached at the National Executive Council meeting held on Thursday.

Bashir Ahmad, an aide to the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), tweeted, “Following the recommendation of President Muhammadu Buhari, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been dissolved.”

Meanwhile, Mai-Mala Buni, governor of Yobe state, has been named chairman of the caretaker/extra-ordinary convention committee while the governor of Niger state was appointed as member, and Akpan Udoedehe as secretary.

Other members of the committee are Ken Nnamani, Stella Okorete, James Lalu, Abubakar Yusuf, Akinyemi Olaide, David Leon, Abba Ari, Tahir Mamman and Ismail Ahmed.

He was immediately sworn in by Abubakar Malami, attorney-general of the federation (AGF).
