Leader of the phase three, Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Mr Tonye Bobo has again commended the Interim Administrator of the programme, Maj-Gen. Barry Tariye Ndiomu(rtd) on his foresight in setting up cooperatives for ex-agitators.
Bobo gave the commendations in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital recently while speaking with Newsmen shortly after a stakeholders sensitization programme on the Presidential Amnesty Programme Cooperative Society limited(PACOSOL) held by the Presidential Amnesty office.
He called on ex-agitators to accord the programme’s administrator the needed support which would enable the success of the PACOSOL.
The leader of the third phase of the PAP ex-agitators who doubles as the Financial Scribe of the cooperative society as well as the Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty ex-agitators strategic Communications Committee also described Ndiomu as the right man to handle the Presidential Amnesty office at this turning point in the history of the programme, saying the cooperatives would make ex-agitators to have something doing as the Programme advances in its stages.
Bobo said: “I commend the PAP IA, Maj-Gen Barry Tariye Ndiomu(rtd) on his foresight in setting up the PACOSOL with Justice F.F Tabai as its Chairman.
“The lives of the 30,000 ex-agitators in the Niger Delta region would be touched directly by the PACOSOL. And I’ld like to assure every one involved that the PAP is serious about this.
“We have the integration staff that will help to make sure all who will participate are the beneficiary of the Amnesty Programme.
“The derogatory statements Ndiomu is receiving from certain quarters is because he has blocked all the leakages of funds in the programme. Ndiomu needs our support to achieve even greater feats for the programme.’
