Niger To Employ 3000 Workers In 2023 Earmarks N300m Monthly Salaries For New Jobs

The Niger state government has said it has provided for the employment of 3,000 workers and earmarked N3 billion in the State’s 2023 budget for the salaries of the new jobs.

The Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Malam Zakari Abubakar stated this at the weekend in a budget breakdown on Minna.

He explained that the new jobs were expected to cost the government N300million monthly ,adding that the gesture was in line with government’s commitment to provide jobs for the teeming youths of the state.

According to him, relevant government agencies in charge of state’s recruitment portal were already fine tuning the employment processes.

He said, ” Government is determined to solve the problem of unemployment in the state and this is the reason for making enough financial provision for the exercise in our next year budget “.
