Minister of state for petroleum resources and leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, Chief Timipre Sylva alongside the national Vice Chairman, South-South of the party, Chief Victor Giadom and other top national and State party stakeholders have rated the APC high in the forthcoming 2023 polls.
This is coming on the heels of an expanded meeting of stakeholders and party faithful the duo held with the party state executives at the party’s secretariat in Yenagoa last weekend.
National Wire which monitored the meeting reports that this may not be unconnected with the party’s stalwarts desire to appease all aggrieved divides in the state chapter of the party.
Speaking with Journalists shortly after the Meeting, Sylva revealed that the party was one and still knitted together, noting however that there was need to settle some grieviances which emanated at the recent party primaries.
The Minister said: ” APC is one and still knitted together in Bayelsa state. We’re resolved to win landslide in all the elections that are coming at both the national and state levels in this state. We’re meeting because as a party which has just recently concluded primaries like you know, there might be a few aggrieved party members and aspirants who should be appeased and talked to”.
Also speaking, the APC national Vice Chairman, South-South, Chief Victor Giadom said with Sylva making concerted efforts at resolving issues bothering the party in the state, he was sure the party would clinch victories in the 2023 polls and the entire South-South geopolitical zone.
He was upbeat about the party’s preparedness to win the national and state elections in the state, saying that victory for the APC meant good leadership in the state.
Giadom said: “am sure that with what we’ve done today, we’ll continue to do more. We’re going to win Bayelsa State,conquer this state for APC. I appreciate the leadership of the party in the state which is led by the Honourable Minister for State, Petroleum Resources, the chairman of the party in the state, Chief (Dr) Dennis Otiotio, and other party faithful for the success of the meeting”.
