Area J Commander Hit By Protester’s Car

The Area Commander , Area J, Ajah, ACP Olugbemi Gbolahan has sustained a severe injury on his leg when one of the protesters’ car ran over his leg in Ajah area of Lagos on Tuesday.

The spokesperson, Lagos State Police Command, SP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said that the protester was driving recklessly when he ran over him.

It was learnt that the Area Commander was personally on the ground to monitor and provide security for the protesters when the incident happened.

It was, however, not disclosed whether the protester that drove the car that hit and ran over ACP Olugbemi Gbolahan was arrested or not.

Meanwhile, the Commander is said to be receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Ajah area of Lagos State.

SP Adejobi used the opportunity to appeal to the protesters to be calm and orderly in Lagos State, as “we would not be distracted from doing the right things at all times.”
