Strike Must Commence On Monday -NLC

Despite the fresh interim order obtained by the Federal Government from a National Industrial Court restraining the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), and Trade Union Congress (TUC) from embarking on a planned nationwide strike,
the Nigerian Labour movement has said the industrial action over the recent fuel price hike and increase in electricity tariff would go on as planned from Monday 28th September.

Justice Ibrahim Galadima who granted the interim order is the same judge that granted the one filed by the Incorporated Trustees of Peace and Unity Ambassadors Association on Thursday.

Justice Galadima granted the order following an ex parte application by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation.
