Ben Murey-Bruce Mourns Dan Foster

Founder of Silverbird Group and former Senator of the Federal Republic, Senator Ben Murey-Bruce has joined Nigerians mourning the popular Radio host, Dan Foster who passed on Wednesday.

In a tweet from his verified Twitter handle @benmurraybruce, the Senator who Represented Bayelsa East Senatorial District in the Upper House, said, “The death of Dan Foster saddens me. He was an excellent friend of mine and a veteran radio host bar none. May his soul rest in peace.”

Foster, a prominent Nigerian-American broadcaster according to sources died around 1pm on Wednesday.

His death is widely suspected to have been associated with COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by coronavirus.

Foster, also known among his fans as ‘The Big Dawg’ and ‘Top Dawg’, was popular at Cool FM, Inspiration FM, City FM and Classic FM where he worked.

The late broadcaster contributed immensely to the Nigerian entertainment industry and the radio community in particular.

He was a judge on ‘Nigeria’s Got Talent’ and a former judge of ‘Idols West Africa’ series.

Since the news of his death broke, Nigerians have gone on social media to commiserate with his family. He would be greatly missed.
