Breaking: Two-Storey Building Collapses In Ibadan

A two-storey building has collapsed in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Friday evening with many site workers fared trapped.

The incident occurred at Sogoye, along the Idi Arere- Molete Road, at 5:50pm and three persons have so far been pulled out of the debris with serious injuries.

According to an eyewitness, the property was being developed for commercial purpose and it was nearing completion before the incident happened.

There are no accurate figure of casualty as at press time but our source said many of the construction workers were still on the property when the incident happened.

Men of the state Disaster Management Rescue Team arrived the scene at about 6:15 pm.

National Wire has not been able to get any official confirmation of the incident.

A similar incident occurred in Lagos on Wednesday, killing several pupils of a primary school occupying the fourth floor of a distressed building at the Ita-Faaji area of the city.
