2016 Hajj Operation: Two Pilgrims from Niger, die in Saudi Arabia…. another accident victim receiving treatment in the Holy Land

‎Two pilgrims among those  who went to perform this year’s Hajj in Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from Niger State have been confirmed dead and buried in the Holy land.

The Pilgrims are Alhaji Haruna Kusherki, a member of the State’s Hamiru Hajj team who died a fortnight ago and one Hajiya Aisha Suleiman Kaka, a pilgrim from Edati local government area of the state. ‎

The second pilgrim, Hajiya Aisha, was said to have died  last Saturday after a brief illness, while their remains have  since been buried after prayers at the Majid Al-Haram in Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,  in accordance with the Muslims rites.

National Wire, ‎gathered that prior to the deceased Female pilgrim’s illness in the Holy land, she was said to have  got burnt on her legs due to excessive heat on the tiles of Prophet Muhammad Mosque in Medina about three weeks ago.

It was further learnt that while on treatment at a Saudi Hospital, she was allegedly diagonised to be diabetic by Medical personnel at the hospital in the holy land.

In related development, another pilgrim from the state, (names withheld) is said to be receiving treatment at a Saudi Hospital after being fractured on the leg as a result of road accident in the holy land.

Meanwhile, Alhaji Habibu Wushishi, the Deputy Press Secretary to the Niger State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Ketso has confirmed the incidents to the Nigerian Tribune over the weekend in Minna.

Wushishi,  ‎who is also one of the State’s Pilgrims who went  to perform this year’s Hajj in Makkah,Kingdom of Saudi Arabia  stated this from his base in the holy land,  in an interview with our reporter by Telephone on Saturday.

The Deputy Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor who is also one of the Media crew to the State’s Hamiru Hajj team to Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, prayed for  repose of the Souls of the deceased pilgrims from the state in the Holy land, just as he also prayed that the injured should be healed.

Accordingly, he said, “may the Souls of the deceased rest in perfect peace and may the injured be healed.”

Alhaji Habibu Wushishi i‎s expected back in the country early next month after a successful performance of this year’s Holy Pilgrimage to Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
